IYTE Foundation Koruncuk Special Girls' Dormitory Will Open Soon<\/strong>
IYTE Foundation and Koruncuk Foundation \u2013 Collaboration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Izmir Institute of Technology (IYTE), T\u00fcrkiye's technology hub, has signed a protocol with the Koruncuk Foundation to provide dormitory accommodation for its female students. The Koruncuk Foundation's Urla Campus in Barbaros Village, located nine kilometers from the IYTE campus, will now also provide housing for IYTE's female students.
One of the biggest problems for students who will be pursuing higher education far from their homes is accommodation, and \u0130YTE is making significant strides in meeting the accommodation needs of its students with the projects it has been carrying out recently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within this framework, as a result of the collaboration with the Koruncuk Foundation in Barbaros Village, the buildings belonging to the Koruncuk Foundation's high school students on its campus were leased on behalf of the \u0130YTE Foundation. Following the obtaining of the necessary permits and the completion of renovations, the facilities will begin accepting female students. A shuttle service will also be provided to ensure students can reach the campus safely and quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rector Baran stated that they have been working intensively to improve the accommodation facilities of IYTE students since he took office, and made the following statements regarding the collaboration: \u201cWithin the scope of increasing the accommodation opportunities of our institute's students, the construction process of a dormitory belonging to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Credit and Dormitories Institution is underway on our campus, and the project work for two more dormitories is continuing. Our goal is to complete these processes within this year. In addition, we are collaborating with different institutions, and I am pleased to announce that one of the projects we have been carrying out has been finalized today. In this context, we, as the IYTE Foundation, have leased a part of the Koruncuk Foundation's premises in Barbaros Village, located 9 km from our campus, to serve our female students. We aim to quickly obtain the relevant permits, complete the planned improvements in these buildings by the beginning of the semester, and start accepting students. I wish this initiative to be beneficial and auspicious for my dear students and all parties involved.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following Rector Baran's statement, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Management Board of the Koruncuk Foundation, Attorney Dr. Figen Samuray, commented on the agreement: \u201cAs you know, our foundation, with its new vision, provides a home for girls at the middle and secondary (high school) levels who are disadvantaged in terms of access to basic needs and education due to their social, economic, and geographical conditions. Every project we undertake, every signature we put our name to, is to touch the lives of more girls and to provide them with higher quality services. We always emphasize how important a safe home is for our girls, and it is a great pleasure for us to be able to provide this with Izmir Institute of Technology (IYTE). We hope that the female students of IYTE will also be role models for our Koruncuk girls located within the same campus, teaching them to stand on their own feet and to learn. Within the framework of this cooperation, our Koruncuk girls will have the opportunity to benefit from IYTE's social activities. May this cooperation be beneficial for our Foundation and Izmir Institute of Technology.
