The "Return to Family Psychosocial Support Modeling Project" has been completed.
The Family Return Psychosocial Support Modeling Project, supported by the EU Civil Society Dialogue 5th Grant Period program, aims to present a feasible model proposal for Türkiye.
The reunification of children leaving institutional care with their families after many years of separation is a process that requires careful handling. It is known that the challenges of this family reunification process can be overcome through comprehensive assessment and continuous support services. This work, which Koruncuk Foundation initiated as a pilot project in 2017, has gained an international dimension with this project. In collaboration with the Belgian L'Accueil Child Protection Center, best practices from Europe were examined, and expert assessments and pilot application results were integrated to prepare the "Return to Biological Family Guide." Given that our country, similar to global trends, is adopting a more family-oriented approach in this area, we hope that this guide will contribute to the development of the system and find application.
