We, the Turkish Foundation for Children in Need of Protection (Koruncuk), located at “Koca Yusuf Cad. No: 100 Bolluca, Arnavutköy – Istanbul”, have prepared this Privacy Notice to explain the purposes for which we process your personal data within our Foundation and our economic enterprise (Turkish Foundation for Children in Need of Protection (Koruncuk) Economic Enterprise). As the data controller, we inform you that we collect and process your personal data in accordance with the law, without prejudice to your fundamental rights and freedoms, as stated in this notice.

WHICH OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA DO WE PROCESS?

The Turkish Foundation for Children in Need of Protection (Koruncuk) is a non-profit foundation that operates as both a foundation and an economic enterprise. Through Koruncukköy, it provides children and young people with shelter, education, and healthcare support, as well as cultural and artistic activities to support their personal development. However, it goes beyond this by working to minimize the negative social impacts that children at risk may face, carrying out preventive, protective, and rehabilitative activities to this end.

In accordance with the foundation's purpose and our bylaws, we collect and process your personal identification data, including your name, surname, age, Turkish Republic identity number, signature, education, profession, experience, and other details related to your volunteer activities, as well as your contact information such as address, telephone number, and email address, for the purpose of contacting you, your financial information for donation payments, other financial information regarding your monetary and/or in-kind donations, and visual data related to your participation in events or visits to us, in order to carry out our activities, secure resources for our projects, develop, support and ensure the sustainability of our charitable activities, conduct volunteer activities, identify suitable individuals for these activities, and collect donations.

FOR WHAT PURPOSES DO WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

Your personal data is processed by the foundation for the purposes stated below.

• The foundation's objectives and bylaws include carrying out, supervising, organizing, and ensuring the continuity of its activities for the public good; fulfilling its obligations as outlined in the foundation deed; and protecting the rights of those benefiting from the foundation's services.
• Collecting, controlling, and managing donations; organizing and executing events and campaigns.
• Developing, supporting, and ensuring the sustainability of charitable activities.
• Recording donations and fulfilling financial and other obligations related to them.
• Fulfilling our legal, juridical, financial and other obligations in accordance with the relevant legislation.
• Establishment and execution of donation agreements, fulfillment of donors' wills.
• Ensuring the continuity of foundation aid.
• The implementation of volunteer activities involves identifying individuals with sufficient and appropriate infrastructure for volunteer work, and organizing and ensuring the sustainability of these activities.
• Providing information to donors and volunteers about their donations and aid efforts, ensuring donor/volunteer satisfaction, maintaining communication with donors and volunteers, and responding to their questions and requests.
• Accepting financial/in-kind donations and carrying out the necessary legal and other procedures for receiving contributions.
• Sending receipts and thank-you letters, issuing receipts and invoices, preparing certificates, and sending gifts.
• Organizing events and activities, informing our donors (participants, volunteers, those making monetary and other donations) about the events, and managing and communicating about these processes.
• If you wish to participate in our foundation's work and volunteer, your volunteer information will be collected, evaluated, your suitability determined, accepted, and added to the volunteer list.
• If you wish to be informed about Foundation announcements after the donation process is completed, your contact information may be used.
• To obtain information and ask questions regarding donations, wills, and/or the work of our Foundation, you can contact our Foundation by mail, email, and/or telephone, and your request will be processed accordingly.
• Ensuring the safety and protection of the rights of the foundation, its facilities, infrastructure, activities, donors, volunteers, and children in every aspect.
• Internal and external audits of our foundation.

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES

• If a request is received in accordance with the law and procedure, your data may be transferred to courts and, if requested within the framework of legally compliant requests and decisions, to public institutions and organizations within the scope of our legal obligations.
• To establish our rights, fulfill our legal obligations, and, where a dispute arises, to enable us to exercise our right to defense, your personal data may be shared with our lawyers.
• If you make a one-time or recurring donation via virtual payment as part of our fundraising activities, your donor information collected by the service providers whose infrastructure we use is shared with our Foundation.
• If you choose the virtual donation option, you will be redirected to a licensed payment service infrastructure contracted by our Foundation. These service providers process your personal data within the scope of their own policies and activities. You can find information about your current payment provider on the payment screen.
• In fundraising trips, this information is shared with organizers and tour companies for organizational purposes.
• Your contact information is shared with postal/cargo companies for sending donation documents and with service providers who send e-announcements/SMS messages for donor communication.
• Data is transferred to third parties organizing events and to service and infrastructure providers that manage relationship management processes in order to secure donor participation and/or plan communication for events and announcements.

HOW AND FOR WHAT REASONS DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

• We collect your personal data when you fill out forms on our website and/or physical forms, contact us verbally or in writing, or provide us with your information through various donation platforms or campaigns, or when your information is shared and transmitted to us by individuals who make donations on your behalf, all in order to support our foundation.

• Regarding your donations, We process your personal data in order to fulfill our obligations within the framework of relevant legislation and our Foundation charter, to protect the rights of those who benefit from our Foundation's services, and because it is necessary for the establishment and performance of the donor/volunteer relationship.

• We are acquiring these funds because it is necessary and in our legitimate interest to fulfill our legal obligations regarding the protection of children and the occupational health and safety of our employees, as well as our obligations under the Foundation Charter concerning the security of the Foundation, its facilities, infrastructure, activities, donors, and all aspects of its operations, and to protect the rights of those who benefit from the Foundation's services.

• We collect donations from your donating organization and third parties such as payment system providers who provide donation infrastructure or facilitate your payment, as this is necessary to fulfill our legal obligations, such as issuing donation receipts during the donation process.

• We process your donations to our foundation to ensure they reach their intended recipients, to inform you of your contributions to our volunteer activities and support, and to ensure the sustainability and management of the foundation's resources, in accordance with the legal grounds stipulated in the foundation legislation and our foundation charter.

• If you express your desire to participate in, support, donate to, or volunteer for our foundation's work, we process your request to inform you, thank you, and generally ensure the continuation of our charitable activities.

YOUR RIGHTS

You can submit your requests within the scope of Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law, which regulates the rights of data subjects, to our Foundation in accordance with the "Notification on the Procedures and Principles for Applications to the Data Controller".

Depending on the nature of your request and the method you used to apply, our foundation may request additional verification (such as sending a message to your registered phone number or making a call) to determine if the application belongs to you and thus protect your rights.
