Through its preventive, protective, and rehabilitative service models, the Koruncuk Foundation empowers children at risk of lacking basic needs and access to education, enabling them to take their place in society as individuals who can express themselves and are aware of their rights.
History
Koruncuk Foundation, 1979‘It was founded in 1995 by volunteers who came together under the leadership of Hüseyin Bilgin, the then head of the Children's Branch of the Istanbul Police Department.

Koruncuk Foundation, Istanbul Bolluca and Izmir Urla’In addition to providing a loving and safe home for girls aged 10-18 in the Koruncuk Villages, the Koruncuk Foundation prioritizes their healthy social and psychological development, supporting their personal growth through social, sports, and cultural activities outside of school hours. Due to the positive impact it has on their psycho-social development, the Koruncuk Foundation, which aims to empower children together with their families, provides support to both the families of the girls it provides shelter and care to, and to other needy families in the regions it serves. Attorney Figen ÖZBEK It provides family-focused support under the umbrella of the Family Counseling Unit. It also supports young girls who grew up in Koruncuk Villages and received their high school diplomas, either in their career development or throughout their university life, according to their preferences. Furthermore, within the scope of the protocol signed between the Koruncuk Foundation and the Ministry of Justice, it provides in-kind and monetary support to convicted and detained children.
The Koruncuk Foundation, which works to disseminate social service models and practices at the national level and thereby increase public awareness of children's rights, carries out activities to protect children's rights and reduce risks in accessing these rights through the Children and Rights Protection Platform it established by bringing together more than twenty NGOs.

We aim to reach more children through the Family Support Unit.
The Family Support Unit was established to support children within their families when their living environment can meet their basic needs, but they require financial, social, and psychological support to continue their education. In this context;

- Guidance and counseling services are offered to the family.
We are working to raise awareness about children's rights.
