The 'A Girl Will Come' Corporate Social Responsibility Program is Launching with the Support of Allianz Türkiye.
On the 100th anniversary of the Republic, Allianz Turkey, together with the Koruncuk Foundation, is launching the "A Girl for the Future" program for girls whose right to life and education is at risk. As part of the program's mission, and with the support of the Allianz Group, Allianz Turkey will enable earthquake-affected girls to join the Koruncuk Foundation and will nearly double the foundation's current capacity by constructing a new dormitory building.
Allianz Türkiye will also provide university scholarships and create development and employment opportunities for Koruncuk children, with the vision of being their lifelong supporter as part of a long-term program planned to continue until 2030.
FOCUS AREAS OF THE LAYERED AND LONG-TERM PROGRAM
As part of Allianz Türkiye's "A Girl Will Come" program's "Human Focus" component, and with the support of the Allianz Group, twenty-five girls affected by the February 6th earthquakes will join the Koruncuk Foundation for four years. The goal is to ensure these children become healthy, strong, confident, productive, value-creating, and responsible individuals aware of their rights, by providing them with socio-economic preventive, protective, and rehabilitative solutions. They will also be provided with housing, access to education, and counseling services.
In the "Institutional Focus" section of the program, action will be taken to enable the Koruncuk Foundation to protect and provide a home for more girls. With the new dormitory building to be constructed with the support of the Allianz Group and Allianz Türkiye, the foundation's capacity will approximately double. While project work has begun for the dormitory to be built in Koruncukköy in Bolluca, Istanbul, the groundbreaking ceremony is planned to take place as soon as possible.
“In the "University Focus" category, the Koruncuk Foundation, which serves children aged 10-18, supports children who are forced to leave high school. Allianz Turkey begins providing support to all Koruncuk children who are accepted into two-year or four-year university programs, without requiring any academic achievement, throughout their university studies.
Allianz Turkey, with its vision of being a lifelong supporter of children from Koruncuk, aims to support children from Koruncuk in acquiring a profession and becoming self-sufficient after their education through the "Development and Employment Focus" component of its "A Girl Will Come" program. Within this focus, mentoring programs will be developed for high school students from Koruncuk to help them make more informed choices after high school. Those who wish to become insurance professionals will receive vocational training after high school. For university students from Koruncuk aiming to work in the private sector, Allianz Turkey will allocate quotas for internships in its internship programs, and employment opportunities will be created within Allianz Turkey or its distribution channels.

‘'HOSPITAL SUPPORT IS INVALUABLE FOR CHILDREN AFFECTED BY THE EARTHQUAKE'’
The Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and Management Board of the Koruncuk Foundation, Attorney Dr. Figen Samuray, also made a statement regarding the collaboration with Allianz Turkey, saying, “As the Koruncuk Foundation, we have been working for 44 years to ensure that girls whose access to education is at risk due to family, geographical, and economic reasons take their place in society as confident individuals. With the preventive, protective, and rehabilitative service models we have developed, we aim to prepare them for life in a peaceful manner. We have had many wonderful collaborations with Allianz Turkey, which has supported these goals since 2016 and has always been by our side with its employees and distribution channels. Our collaboration with the 'A Girl for the Future' program continues at full speed. The fact that Allianz Türkiye will build a dormitory for children affected by the earthquake, exceeding our capacity by opening our doors to them, is very valuable to us. In addition, the fact that they will provide university scholarships, development opportunities, and even employment to our Koruncuk children to support them throughout their lives is an unparalleled example of ownership. We would like to thank the Allianz Turkey Family, its employees, and its distribution channels for their support to date and for this multifaceted program.‘.
